The “A to Z Guide” series began with the company’s first publication, the A to Z Guide to Film Terms, a comprehensive reference guide to the strange language and terminology of film production. 12 years later the book has become a Canadian bestseller and is required reading at film schools, colleges and universities across North America. The book has sold over 16,000 copies to date. The 4th Edition was recently released in March 2007.

In the summer of 2006, First Wave announced its next book in the series, the A to Z Guide to Hockey Terms.

By all accounts it looks as if this book will be even more successful than the first. A whole series of books in the same format will be released on a regular, ongoing basis. Including books on football, baseball, basketball, music, computers and the internet.
